The Old Fence Post

The old fence post had been standing in the creek for a long time. Nothing seems to be able to bother the good old oak in the water. One day a chunk of barb wire came by and got hung up on the fence post. Pretty soon a big branch got hung up on the barb wire, then a little stick and another, and so on.

Before long nothing seemed to be able to get by the fence post anymore and a dam was starting to build. With time the dam became stronger and the fence post became weaker, because the current was going wild. One day the fence post could not withstand the pressure any more; it broke. The dam dissolved and again the water ran as quiet as it had before.

If only the fence post could have shaken off the piece of barb wire in the beginning.

Unforgiveness is the pollution of the mind, body, and soul. It will break you sooner or later.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
