Scripture Provision

Got to the little beach house today, ready to hear, listen, write, and just fellowship with the Lord, something I have been neglecting for a while.

I open up my Bible and it opens to Ezekiel 18.  I start reading and it just takes a moment to remember that almost a year ago I read the same Scripture.  That day I was reading the whole chapter and stopped at Ezekiel 18:20 thinking, “I never read that before”; it stuck with me.  Little did I know I would need this verse in less than twenty-four hours.

That night we heard that my step son had died on the mountain and just the next morning my husband sat in the recliner wondering if God was punishing him for his sins.  When he shared his thoughts I remembered what I had read right away and shared the verse with him.  It was that moment that I knew that God was in control and that my step son was not dead by accident or mistake or whatever.  It gave me a great deal of peace.

Today I’m marveling about this as I write and also the fact that God kind of kicked me in the butt just now, saying, “Get started what you said you would do”.  No other Scripture would have been better!  Thank You, Lord.
