After rejecting the Old Testament for over ten years after being saved, I finally studied it. Prior to that it seemed that every time I opened up the Book it was about murder or war and I couldn't relate at all. A few years back I had to take the journey as a requirement in school.
Once I got started I got hooked; God is so alive in it and every chapter relates to our days and times in one way or another. Most amazing to me were the pictures and the foretelling of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Personally it gave me a clearer picture of who God is, what His intent is for creation and it refreshed my reverence for Him. Our God is an awesome God!
